Canford Cliffs lies along the main route to Sandbanks, Poole for visitors arriving from the South East of England. It is often described as an affluent village, with a population of just under 8,000 residents. Close to 40% of residents are retired enjoying a relaxed, high quality lifestyle.

The village high street is a colourful line of stylish and useful independent shops including Oxfords Bakery, Dune Hair Salon and Spa, Harry's bar and Berkeleys Property Agents, established in 1991. Near-by the sandy Canford Cliffs Blue Flag beach is manned by lifeguards, making it exceedingly family-friendly in the summer.

Compton Acres gardens are also located in Canford Cliffs. These 1920s Grade II-listed gardens are open to the public daily and make a popular destination for walks, lunch and regular events.

For families, nearby schools include Lilliput First School, Buckholme Towers and Talbot Heath. There are also good school bus links to Dumpton and Bryanston in the Dorset countryside.

The area is well connected to central Bournemouth, located just a short drive away. Bournemouth railway station offers direct train services to Winchester, Southampton Airport Parkway and London Waterloo.
