Southbourne

Southbourne is a suburb of Bournemouth in the English county of Dorset. It is the most easterly part of the Borough of Bournemouth, situated between Boscombe and Christchurch. The area was previously known as Stourfield. Strictly, Southbourne refers to the area near to the coast; areas further inland are West Southbourne, Tuckton and Wick.

Southbourne is a popular destination for buyers and tourists alike. With its award winning sandy beaches, the area attracts everyone from first time buyers to the retired and everyone in between. More recently, the holiday home market has taken off with the construction of large modern seafront apartments in prime cliff top positions. Southbourne’s property market has a great deal to offer from the modern apartment blocks for first time buyers, large detached homes attracting families for school catchments, purpose built retirement apartments for the elderly and the sea front apartments for holiday home buyers.

Southbourne is popular as its close enough to the hustle and bustle of Bournemouth whilst still being far enough away to remain peaceful with its café bar culture at Southbourne Grove with plenty of choice for cafes, bars and restaurants as well as one off individual boutiques.
